If someone can organize the space, I think I might be able to show a few things in regards to the flash/studio work.

Dmitri if you don't need equipped studio space I can find the space. To get this rolling please PM me a course outline to post in the workshop section (see above) and a date time that you could put it on and I will see if the space is available.

coming very late to this thread, would be more than happy to offer fully equipped space and whatever knowledge I have in regards to studio photography, portrait and postprocessing involved. It would be for a small group of 6-8 poeple (more and we would be overcrowded).

Please let me know if there is any interest, it would have to be during the weekend, it would be at my studio.

I'm back and ready to help organize some workshops starting later in January.

It would be nice to have a few more volunteer instructors in the following areas. (I know you are out there)

-Action and sport photography
-Nature photography
-Portrait
-Food and/or products

Happy New Year

Ryan

I've been doing a lot of low light (indoor) sports shooting (for roller derbies) so I could help with that one.

Thanks to Dmitri Markine who has agreed to start off this year's TPMG workshops. Who wants to step up next?

Feb 7th 1:30pm - TPMG Workshop For Flash&Studio lighting

http://tpmg.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10574

I would like to address this common issue to keep his workshop thread on topic.

I am really interested in this - too bad there is a limit of only 20 people for this event - maybe this could be repeated sometime soon?

A workshop with too many people is no longer a workshop, it becomes a lecture. I hope there will be many repeats and new workshops throughout the year.

Too bad there isn't a mechanism to have a waiting list that moves the person first come first served from an waiting list to the attendance list. There are always people that drop out, sometimes at the last moment. It's a lot of work for the organizer to handle a waiting list without any tools (I know I have tried).

A pet peeve of mine is people that sign up but just don't show up. This shows a lack of consideration for fellow TPMGers that would like to come but can't as there is no space.

We have one workshop this Saturday, so who is going to step up to the plate next?

I am working to get the right space for a food workshop and am still looking for an instructor with expertise in this area.
