Delsorbo please no predictions or critiques. Also before voting please take the time to review and take into account what the degree of difficulty for each person's firsts was.

LOL I think it was just an observation :) No harm done in my opinion. There is a large lot in this one, it can go to anyone really.

Metrix did say "please" -- he politely asks for no predictions or critiques. And I see his point since it can have an effect on the voting. I don't think his comment warranted a "yea man lighten up" comment. My two cents.

But at the same time that is like saying "oh looks like this democatic battle is between Obama and Hillary..." It is public knowledge and in this case TPMG registrant knowledge and therefore not a prediction nor a critique. I stick by my statement...

Regarding the "lighten up" remark... These contests are for fun and are not the end of the world. While I can fully appreciate what Metrix is requesting (I want to win too :)) I am not going to loose any sleep if I don't. Therefore, why should it matter if someone predicts or critiques something on this thread or elsewhere other than for maybe skewing ones thoughts (I trust everyone has a mind of their own)? And as mentioned above, this wasn't a prediction nor was it a critique (perceivably)... it was blantanly obvious to whom ever has eyes open enough to see. But if you want to get technical, everyone has respected Metrix as there have not been any predictions or critiques made... only observations again coming back to what I said...

Am I wrong?

Now its Bicanic and Delsorbo's time to lighten up and not be so uptight with people that disagree with you.

The way the poll is set up people can vote without looking at the results as they don't show up automatically until you make your vote so regardless of Delsorbo's reasons I stand by my request and suggest in light of this being a place to vote on a challenge that you take any more comments to another thread.

Cheers,

Ryan

Thats cool Metrix. I was totally unaware of that when you made your request, maybe next time you can elaborate more so we can reduce the confusion. But now I understand where you are coming from, not realizing it was creating a bias with those who had not yet voted and didn't know who was in the lead.

Still stand by my statements under the circumstances though.

Oh and on your disagreeance comment: I am totally for that... hence my asking if I am wrong or "--no?" afterward... Becasue that way it helps me understand if there is something I could have missed, which is part of the case here. I mean this reply from you did last a bit where in between different suspisions were addressed by different people.

Maybe voting polls should be post disabled? can this even be done? should it be done?

OK, I might be blind, but where do I find the theme for this challenge. I'd like to know before I vote. Do previous challenges get deleted?

http://www.tpmg.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6645 was the thread and you can find why each photo was that persons first.

Hope this helps :)

Previous challenges will always remain (or eventually archived). You can easily search for them by looking for the word "Challenge" with me as the author and in the Photography in General forum.

Bicanic's the winner! PM me on the next theme when you have one.

You're still nuts for tossing a DSLR up in the air!

Thanks everyone. I must say extend a thanks to Andy who created a topic about camera tossing. This was a risk I took with my A700 tossing it into the air with which many said I was crazy while others said cool.

I will continue to work on this technique and perfect it.

Thanks again and a pm has been sent to Tanner for the next concept challenge.

Thanks Sue, I was surprised I was going head to head with you despite all the flaws in focusing and such I had. Really it was more a risk for me. Yours I think took more skill. Good luck on the next though. I hope it is a fun one!
