I'm a Mamiya C330 owner...and a recently realized putz.

I was shooting with both a DSLR and a Mamiya and got the grand idea to use the DSLR to meter as well as my spotmeter. Some scenes metered using the DSLR and others using the spot but as I put the gear away I realized that the DSLR was at ISO100...and the meter/film at ISO400. I don't know if it's possible to fix a 2 stop mistake in Photoshop especially when there is a large dynamic range in the scenes. 4 rolls

I put my detail on zone 4 with the light meter so I don't think I'll lose anything if I split the difference and develop the film as ISO200.

Is this what you would do? Thanks in advance.

2 stop difference... Not a big deal. Just adjust the developement of the film for ISO 100

Wow..knew film was forgiving but not that forgiving! It was successful...so I'll do it more often. :D I appreciate your help.

FYI, After reading a post of yours about mills, while I was in Ottawa, I asked if they knew of any on the way back to TO and they said there was one in Manotick and Spencerville...so thanks for this photo too! :)

Wow! That's a great shot of Watson's Mill in Manotick. Yes, I have done all of the Rideu/Ottawa valley mills ... they are great.

Film is very flexible. Push it for more contrast or pull it for less contrast. Depending on the film, you could probably shoot that ISO100 anywhere from ISO25 up to 800 with some adjustments.

Film has ridiculous latitude. You almost have to TRY to ruin a photo.

I accidentally developed a roll of 120 HP5+ at ISO 1600. The problem was that I'd shot it at 400. I recovered all but two photos on that roll, I believe. Get a good scan and there ought to be no problem recovering a small amount of under/overexposure.

Well...stumped again but I think for the first time with film it works out ok!

First time developing using a hair band with the 4x5 taco method. I did not presoak, developed, stopped, fixed for 5 minutes, moved the hairband and fixed for 4 more minutes, washed for 12 in the tank....and ended up with a hair band mark. :( You can see just to the right the fainter second hairband mark.

Image

The hair band was not on the emulsion side.

Thinking it's anti-halation I made new fix, fixed for 20, and washed for 10, using trays for both, and agitating the crap out of it.

Still there...no change. Why can't I get it off? If it was something during development then why did I get the fainter second mark in fix? I did not pre-soak the hairband but it does not look like dye.

I'll just go back to the elastic.

The real headscratcher is I scanned the neg.....expecting it to be screwed...and strangely it did not show up on the scan. :?: The mark should be going right down the back of the chair. The end result is ok but 2 "things that make you go hummm?" Any thoughts?
