Hey Guys,

This is the sign up event from the Rooftop Shooting Feeler posted by Bynx : http://www.torontophotographygroup.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=19480&start=0

When: Sat, Jan 7, 2012
Time: Anytime between 4 PM and 10 PM ( Terrace closes at 11 pm )
Where: 410 Queen's Quay West, Toronto , ON , M5V 3T1
Bring: Camera, Tripod and Money if we want to order dinner (or we could go for dinner after on the harbour front), Winter jacket, Gloves, Hats - It is cold up there . Swimming trunks if you want to use the jacuzzi :P

Small inconvenience is the building does not have much visitor parking space specially on a Saturday night, it could be fully booked . It would be better if you take the 509 or 510 streetcar from Union and get off at Spadina . Unless you don't mind paying for parking then there's one walking distance from my building.

Right now i have Bynx, Barryc, Eddie S, Jordan Faust, Simon , Janetliz, orange toast, alexanderhosking who have priority on registration (feeler-registered and if i missed anyone let me know please) . I may be able to accommodate more I will check with security and let update the post.

I guess that's pretty much it:)

Sapna

It should be the same as the D300 - I would definitely recommend keeping away from pooled water! Lol

I haven't been in tpmg very long so I'm not completely familiar with this web site. I registered ok...at least I see my name there. But what about the "confirmed" column ? Are we supposed to do anything with that too ?
Thanks

A quick update - I spoke to the building security and they are allowing me to bring 15 people to the terrace as long as we keep the noise to a minimum at night. As long as there are no noise complaints from the neighbors, we can stay until 11 pm up there . So I guess the people on the waiting list can be considered as registered and ill add a 3rd column as waiting list for anyone who backs out . Also , Is there a fix time that you guys want to be here for or is anytime between 4 ( for sunset colors ) and 10 pm ok ?

Boo ! I can't add another column as waiting list - It's deleting all the existing ones - I guess those interested can just post here and if there's another group of 10 then we can schedule another event

My preference sure is to get a sunset if there's a nice one available that day. By Jan 7, I'm guessing sunset should be in the range of about 4:30 (just starting) thru 5:30 pm...ish (finished). Its still interesting with a dark sky, but your own pic shows a beautiful sunset...and that beats a dark sky for me. I think I want both. 8)

I will be winter camping that weekend, but I'd be interested in a future date if you organize another one.

At the bottom of the registration section on the left side is a box titled unregister. Sorry you have to bow out.

Since the registration dates are clearly marked, the order of priority is quite clear. My question is how does Dec. 30 get in ahead of Dec. 20? I wasn't following closely, so I may have missed something.

Delsboro asked how to unregister on Jan. 1 (after sChad registered). I don't know if sChad was ahead of kevinl before he registering on the "Rooftop Shooting 2" list, but wouldn't moving from one list to the other change his registration date?

Has anyone sent a PM to kevinl to let him know there is a spot for him?
