OrangeToast, how about dinner afterwards if we have 8/10 people show up for this event? We can go for the lobsters/crabs dinner at a Chinese restaurant in Chinatown. :-)

Man, I haven't come to any TPMG meet-ups since the summer :( And - lucky me - there are three things going on this Wednesday. And a major biology test Thursday morning D: I'm praying something this good turns up over the Christmas break so that I can finally get out and shoot.

Just to let you guys know that it's going to be very easy to get separated. And of course that they'll move to Alexandra Park. I suggest breaking off from the parade before that and move to the park earlier.

If you know of an establishment that can accommodate ~30 people at short notice, I'll consider nominating it for a future social.

Can you also think of a restaurant that will satisfy more of the "pedestrian" food tastes that may be evident among the tpmg membership?

It hasn't been cancelled and the rain is meant to die down early evening. I will go down to the parade at 6:30-7 and give a call or just spot other TPMGers. It's usually very crowded so I might just shoot the parade part.

fwiw, the Globe's Joanne Kates loved it so much she went back three times to check it out. Saw some people having geoduck sashimi but I wasn't adventurous enough to try it. They have a night owl menu as well so would be perfect for a post late night camera walk. This place, New Sky and Kom Jug Yuen (further up Spadina) are my fav C-Town dinner eats.

Beef noodles soup + a plate of beef/egg/rice + a plate of veggie + 2 bowls of rice & the FREE soup & FREE dessert!!! I am so full now. Thanks OrangeToast! BTW, Ryan was the other person that was craving for lobsters. :)
