Photography is, for the most part, an individual exercise.

I thought it might be fun to share what projects each of us are working on currently. Maybe see what cool things the group is actually up to, outside of events and meet ups. I am sure there are lots of cool and creative things going on right now :)

I can start - For me, since i've been testing color work and testing shooting dark shadows for the last 2 months, I am setting up a moody/cool shoot right now with a male model to portray the character Afro Samurai. Yes, the model has a wicked afro too!

And then I am shooting a tf with 2 models who are identical blond twin sisters! Pretty cool. Going to come up with a neat idea for that shortly. a quicky search online for twin photos seem kind of generic. Hopefully i can think of a cooler idea.

Pose them like one of them is a reflection in a mirror without there actually being a mirror. The kind of shot that would make people take a double take and wonder whether its a reflection or not.

So it's not really a photographic project so much as an "organizing my photography" project.

I've been getting heavily into image metadata and management in Lightroom. Just got my images synching nicely to my iPad (almost automatically). Been spending several hours the past few days having to duplicate the GPS data I had previously tagged in my jpegs but not in my raws, and then reading the metadata so the LR will see the GPS data that was there but it wasn't seeing.

There is nothing but fantastic things I have to say about exiftool.

Eh...I'm probably at 20%. I gotta write up the "About me" portion, maybe add in a portrait of myself (which I'll be doing in the next week or so), arrange my pages, decide on gallery categories. The biggest thing I've done so far is recreate my logo.

Slowly picking through my past shots for the best 75, for a compilation book. Just did two family Christmas picture shoots. It's my off season.

Just finished my Calendar. It is printing as we speak.
Two client projects on the go, both video.
Working on the new website as we speak. Unlike others, probably only about 5% done. Still on Brick and Mortar.
Planning a few events.

That sounds like too much already...

Anywho, back to the original concept of the thread!
http://ahosking.com/public/ is now shiney and new and... being populated with things.
Also knocked out two client contracts tonight.
Looks like more portfolio work is incoming!
