Hi everyone,

I'm wondering if anyone is processing C-41 at home - without a Jobo.

I'm particular concerned about availability of chemicals and temperature variations (especially if you are doing tray processing).

Thanks,

-J

I've done it in regular Patterson tanks. Put the tanks in a cooler water bath.

C41 chemistry is easy to mailorder from B&H or Freestyle.

Thanks Sean- do you find the results consistent? Also, have you processed E-6 in manual tanks? I see that Freestyle has E-6 kits as well....

I'm hoping to do some in 4 x 5 as well- so would likely need to figure out a solution for that (pardon the pun).

The cost benefits are pretty attractive if you shoot a lot of colour - the Tetenal kit apparently process about 12- 16 rolls - not too bad- not sure how much the chemicals can be re-used...or if that assumes re-use - pretty similar for E-6 from what I can see....

Good video.

I've done E6 as well. Equally easy. The hard part is getting the chems, since they are not powder and can't be shipped across the border.

For 4x5, you can do "taco style" or you can get Patterson 4x5 reels

:) That's what I said via PM. The insert is cool! I think I might buy one of these for my tank.
