It's been a while and, undoubtedly, there are some new toys to be shown. Who's in and when would be good?

I'd be in, if I can fit it in my busy schedule.

Problem is now gets into the holiday season.

And the bike shows, for me, but surely something will be possible.

With cottage season over, too cold for canoeing and the fall colours long gone this is a good time of the year for me for an Oly TPMG meetup.

Evenings I definitely cannot make it are Nov 22, 23, 30, Dec 15. Otherwise I should be able to attend.

Thanks Rob!

Bruce

Sounds good! I'll come if I'm free :) I haven't been checking on here (Bruce was kind enough to let me know this was being discussed) so if I forget to come back and find the date/time etc, if anyone thinks to give me a heads up I'd appreciate it!

Wed-Fri and some Saturdays I'm free in the evenings.

So here's what we've got, so far. I added this image to the original post, so people won't have to dig too far to find it as it's updated. The motorcycle show is Dec. 9-11, but I can pick a day that won't conflict.

How does December 10th or 11th look for everyone?

Dec 11th is my first preference, but I think I can make either date.

My Saturday's are booked with Christmas parties. Sun the 11th is a maybe for me. I work that night which means I have to sleep partly during the day and be at work downtown by 9pm. So it just depends on the time and the place/location.

What if we made it on the 11th, at The Bull & Firkin, at noon or 1:00pm?

It's pretty early for me (I usually have to sleep till 2-3pm), but I can always text someone to see if anyone is still around. Otherwise, I'll have to plan some post-holiday fun with y'all :)

I'm worried about making sure that there would be some space for us. The later in the day, the tougher to find the space. We might be able to push it back to say 3:00pm.

That would be helpful, but certainly don't make it 3 just on my account! If for some reason I don't sleep well that day, I won't be able to make it anyway. It'll be a play-it-by-ear kind of day for me :)

Well the best chance for more attendees seems to be that day, anyway, so why not? :D

Uh...er...what exactly is an "Oly 4/3" anyway ? The only thing I could think of was Olympus camera's 4/3 system...but does not seem to be a likely fit.

Yup, that's exactly what it is. The Olympus Four-Thirds system is a bit of an orphan, with not many followers. We just added the Micro Four-Thirds system to the meets, when it came along.

I am available any time on the 11th, so what ever time the group ends up with is fine by me.

Elaine I did not know you were Australian, but what does that have to do with an Oly meetup?
 (laughing smiley since the internet usually strips off all humour from posts like this)

I'll call and make sure that we can get the space. Since it's Christmas season we might have trouble with that, so it would be a good idea if people started thinking about a possible alternate location.

Yup, we're good to go at 3:00pm, on Dec. 11th.

Bull & Firkin Pub
1835 Yonge Street
Toronto, Ontario
M4S 1X8

I verified space for 10 people, which should cover us. They aren't usually very busy at that time of day so we can likely handle more, if necessary, but we rarely have more than 10 anyway.

Looks like we might also have four more people showing up, from the DPReview Olympus forum :)
