Got an email from B&H advertising a price drop on Sandisk products. I have not done any comparison but posting this if you are in the market.

I was gonna cheap out and get some more kingston ones but sandisk is actually cheaper now...

The prices on the cards are ridiculous. I was opting to get the regular UDMA but I figured it may be a while before these go down again so I went for the Extreme Pro.

and in that short period of time price seemed to have went up a bit

I've seen B&H do that before, where prices would change out of the blue, even on prices/specials that are marked as good until a certain date.

In September they had two-pack deals where two 16GB 60mb/s were only $78.98, that's $39.49 each and then they increased the price just a few hours later.

So get it while they're HOT!

Last week at BestBuy, i bought Sandisk Extreme 30mb/s 8gig cards for $26.99 each. There were on sale from 41.99 if i remember right.

Seemed like a good price. I believe the reason is that there is a new (or relatively new) rebranding of the cards, the ones i bought are called "Extreme Video" as opposed to "Extreme III". The look identical performance-wise and the clerk told me it was the same exact card.

I think it's only the 8gb ones that were on sale though. I wanted specifically small cards, so it was perfect.

FWIW: Henry's has also dropped their prices on a bunch of SanDisk stuff.

THIS MUST MEAN THE 5DIII AND 7DII AND 24-70IS ARE COMING!!!!!!!!!

8GB Extreme (60mb/s) cards are $30 at B&H. $45.59US to your door. It's currently $60+tax at Henry's, the cheapest local price.
