So I'm posting this as an early "Get the ball rolling" sort of post, given the confusion and mess of my last event with the Holland Marsh shoot.

For those that don't know, TorontoHenge is the coloquial name given to when the sunrise or sunset (specifically sunset for this case) aligns with the Toronto street grid, allowing shots of the sun setting right in the middle of the valley of buildings or skyscrapers.

I'm opening this to others to give ideas on the ideal location to catch this, and if we need to shift the date, lets do it now while it's preliminary discussion, and then I will shift it to the official events, and activate the registration slots.

I've always liked the sunset facing the eaton centre / simpson's building (The Bay) from Queen & Yonge looking west.... could be a good spot, and proceed west as the sunset proceeds?

Sunrise is nice just about anywhere -- but especially downtown.

I was just checking TPE and it's saying Tuesday the 25th to be the best date. Just wondering if anyone has locations in mind.

The current forecast is showing cloudy periods on Sunday (20% POP), and light rain (90% POP) on Monday. I would therefore suggest Sunday for this.

Looking at TPE for Bloor west of Yonge or Queen west of Yonge looks like the ideal day is Tues the 25th. Truth be told, I'm not sure how much error is acceptable based on what TPE is showing me.

Can anyone look at TPE and review my findings?

My desktop TPE shows Tuesday or Wednesday (even more ideal) as being optimum for Queen St. but yeah, the weather is NOT cooperating.
