me too... I've always been a Bridge/Photoshop guy and now I am thinking of getting Lightroom 3... also considering J's Lightroom workshop.. If I do get this.

I wonder when Lightroom 4 will be released? It's a really good price if you can get a free update to 4

Good question. Does anyone who uses LR confirm how the upgrades are handled?

I had to pay for my LR2 to LR3 upgrade. However, the upgrade was $99 only. Lastly, quite a bit of time had passed in between me buying LR2 and upgrading to LR3, so I certainly would not have qualified for any sort of free upgrade if they had offered any such thing (I'm not sure if they did).

They did do such a thing, as I got my copy of LR3 that way (Actually, I was going to buy LR3, couldn't get a boxed education copy and thus got LR2 with a free upgrade instead). But it's only a short period before and after release that qualified.

That makes total sense. That's why I made sure to point out that the time lapsed between LR2 and LR3 for me was significant :)

Is there any way to get around with the shipping? The most economical way to ship to Canada still cost $30. Thanks!

It looked to me like it was $20 to ship it to Canada.

If you download it rather than shipping the disk then there's no shipping fees.
