If Tim can arrange for a sunset AND a meteor shower, clear cloudless and rain-less sky should be easy.

Too early to tell right now. Went to Tobermory last weekend and it was supposed to rain Saturday and Sunday and all we got was a little sprinkle 2am Sunday morning and then Sunday afternoon on the way home. Last year at Torrrane we got a little light rain in the afternoon and then thundershowers after 3am.

Tough call. Like the Clash say; Should I Stay or Should I Go? Its a long drive for a gamble. :(

And it's not necessarily the possibility of rain that concerns me, but since the purpose is to shoot star trails and perhaps meteors the forecast for overcast at night is the real problem.

After consideration and since it is cloudy which to me says waterfalls not stars I am going to head for High Falls on highway 11. If the weather turns out different from forecast I may come by Torrance later in the day on the way home.

I could do something in my back yard tonight in kettleby tonight after 9pm. Weather forecast for variable cloudiness, no rain.

I am in Gravenhurst right now and it is beautiful. Hot with some clouds. No rain in sight yet at 1 pm. Was beautiful this morning shooting at Coopers Falls and Germania.

I'm going to be late getting up there. How might I find you all once I arrive at the parking?

I am just south of Gravenhurst. Lots of cloud with some gaps. Getting thick. No rain so far.

From the parking by the highway it is a 1 minute walk to where we are. Can only go one direction.

For those who couldn't make it , you didn't miss much .. Just one of the most exciting nights of having the lightning strike right above your head and blinding you for a few seconds .. and the run for the car once we realized we had to put the stupidity aside !

Thank you Tim for another wonderful wonderful day ! That was awesome !

Well, another beautiful day at Torrance Barrens. Thanks to Sapna and Yeshwanth for keeping me company. Did not see any meteors or stars, but the the day was beautiful and the the clouds were awesome and the little critters were friendly :)

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/timras/6041722289/" title="Dragon Fly by timras, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6181/6041722289_fb18b36830_z.jpg" width="640" height="544" alt="Dragon Fly"></a>

The evening thunderstorm was very nice too. Lots of nice shots over the lake.

Tim

You think we can plan another night star photo meet up there in the fall or soon?

Those are great pics.
