I haven't clicked on all the links, so I only read WBZ's version of the story.

I suspect that, technically at least, the law would be on the side of the photographers...

On a more philosophical level, it may be some years until we're all comfortable with the idea of being photographed pretty much every minute of every day when we're out in the big city... but perhaps we should get used to it...

The problem with the news these days is the need to sensationalize everything.

"Strange lights spotted in the skies near the airport last night. Could it be an alien invasion? What you need to know to protect yourself and your family from an alien invasion, tonight at 11."

Where at Pearson?!?!?!

LOL

American news definitely sensationalizes everything and that Fox news "mentality of the mob" reporting drives me insane.

I have to admit, after seeing the news story first, it all looked "bad" for the photogs, but reading the blog response, come on now... That new report was practically falsified.

This is why the only truth in American news reporting can be found on The Daily Show and the Colbert Report.

That's too bad. It was a good reply and had some sample images (all legs and feet).

After read the WBZ story I thought "what a bunch of pervs". Then reading the blog response and seeing the photos of the legs and feet I thought some of the pictures were pretty good, especially in b&w.

Completely agree... +1

his bandwidth probably got overwhelmed just from people wanting to find out the real part of the story

I'm heading to Boston on Wednesday so I'll make sure to avoid that area with my camera just in case people start throwing rocks at me haha. Maybe I'll meet these guys and talk to them. I bet you if they were a bunch of young cute women doing this everyday no one would give a damn. It's a shame that the media will resort to pretending to be your friend in person then manipulating the footage to suit their story. I'll remember that if I ever see a reporter walk up to me.

It would have been a better shot if he had straightened the horizon and cloned out the distracting background people. And what is with the chopping off at the knees of the main figure and cutting out 3/4 of the figure on the left hand side? 8)

i did but on video he just seemed shifty....

the blog response was quite intelligently written and thought out.

or it could just be the media skewing it and maybe he did have intelligent things to say on camera but they cut it up and included only the awkward responses.

^ Forget the noise, more importantly it needs a boost in saturation to make it POP

Me too..........I don't wanna be on the hook for breaking an L lens with my ugly mug.

Granted I did mess around with my P&S while sitting in my sisters truck and do realize from a couple pics why I have a breathing prob out of one nostril......so maybe I should have not been so shy.

The problem is pack photography. People in packs, males usually become less inhibited and more daring due to group moral support.

Even I get scared when I come across a pack of photographers.

I usually avoid Queens park because its full of disposed condoms and shifty looking characters, but there is another reason not to be near there on April 22:

Quote:
Lenin's birthday is coming up on April 22. Therefore, a walk to remember the victims of communism (an eight-digit number, and counting!) and to celebrate the freedom of those who have shaken off the yoke.

All someone has to do is say that to me in real life and I'll punch myself in the face...
