This box of black and white 120 film came inside a boxed Diana camera I got a flea market a while ago and thought I would share, seeing that its a pretty unique item. I'm very tempted to get it developed (but don't count on it). Who knows what could be in there? The assassination of JFK or Aunt Bertha cooking xmas diner?

I'd say go for it -- if it has actually been exposed.

I found Verichrome Pan ISO125 in my Massive Dev chart, so at least I have developing times if you need them.

another Ansel Adams collection hidden away? LOL

Only one way to find out what's on the film, if it has been used.

It seems to be exposed. It's wound kind of loose. I don't want to spend $$ to find out its all fogged or whatever. I found a roll in my moms brownie camera not too long ago and shipped it to Film Rescue in Sask. There were just 4 photos on the roll but they were of my parents in Edwards Gardens so that was a neat find. Big 60's hair and all. :-)

look at the roll -- if its tail out, then its exposed -- if its head out, then its blank. Might be interested, but if you don't want to spend the money - then there is your answer.

The backing paper ought to tell you if you are on the exposed or unexposed end. Or maybe roll out enough to see which way the arrows point.

That is, if they print the same stuff on the back as they do these days.

They did print arrows on the paper back then..... 120 dates back many many years before 1966

I was playing with my Dad's old Pentax SP1000 film camera a while back and it jammed on me, or so I thought. I was at the end of a roll of film. He passed away in 2003 and the camera has sat since then. I thought I had found his last roll of film he had ever taken when in fact it was mostly my test frames over the years of the back of a lens cap and the like.

Hopefully you have one of Ansel Adams lost rolls - I say you owe it to yourself to see what is on it. Maybe there are some unreleased photo's of the Beatles landing in North America!

It's exposed. If someone else wants to pay and solve the mystery, be my guest. You can't keep it though! :-) I'm not working so I can't waste my $$ on something like this. Just thought I would share what the box looks like. It's kinda neat. Also if it was with the Diana camera that I bought it with, the film is probably messed up anyways, right?

I don't see it costing that much $$ -- particularly for those who process our own.

I'm game. I just mixed up a fresh batch of fixer. Others might have either more experience, or a wider selection of developers.

Well for one thing, no one is doing this in their basement. Period. If I were to get it done it would have to be by a pro in a lab. :D
Prints are expensive. Negs are useless on their own, and ones out of a Diana camera are sketchy at best. I can't imagine that thing took any good photos.

I see this as being an expensive little project.

On a completely different subject, I would like another Diana camera. So if anyone sees an inexpensive one in their travels, kindly let me know.

But - I appreciate all your enthusiasm. It's is why I wanted to share in the first place.

Ryan offered to do it for you -- did you not see that?
