i am in for that matter. Might wander off from the pack occasionally though tested the camera for weather sealing in today's rain, so I can trust it no matter what

Thank you to all that showed up for the island tour. The first official event of 2011 It was nice to meet some new people and also see some familiar faces. The weather was overcast but nice temperature for hiking and roasting marshmallows

Great outing, at least this time it wasn't -20... I ended up liking this overcast with clearings, had some texture to it. Got a couple of nice shots

Anyway, I got what I came here for, the typical touristy shot of the Toronto skyline at night Sort of like a rite of passage for me.. Now, no one can say I haven't take a picture of Toronto before!!

Had a great time yesterday and was great to meet you all, you all made me feel very welcomed. Great photos that have already been posted. Wanted to post a photo or two, but not sure how to or if I can.

Look forward to joining you again in another event.

Thanks Alex. Yes I'm on Flickr, took me awhile to figure out, lol... but got them posted on the tmpg group. Tim helped me out as well. I did try to give my comments on some pics I saw from other photographers on Flickr as they were just awesome. But for whatever reason it wouldn't let me post. I'll try again today.

View one of the photos and above the image there is a "Share this" button. Click that sucker and then select from the drop down html/bbcode.

Thank you Alex...I kind of felt that i cooked it a bit....

I really enjoyed getting out to the island again. Some nice images everyone. Thanks for organizing Tim, and thanks to whoever brought the fire logs and marshmallows.

This was my second last shot from Olympic Island. For my last one I tried to add a little fill flash to brighten the tree a bit, but for some reason I could not get my flash into TTL mode (it worked fine when I got home). I pondered setting the flash power manually (I am no strobist) but I noticed most people had already packed up and headed for the ferry, so I cut and ran. Anyway it turned out OK without the flash.
