Hi have half a roll of K40a in my Maxxum 9 right now. Between BCPV and a drive yesterday, I still have half the roll left, and need to ship this out to Dwayne's ASAP, for reasons many are probably aware.

Seeing as I work when I typically have daylight, how can I kill this roll off? Ideas?

Yesterday I drove to Holland Landing, Bradford and Newmarket.

The light sucked.

The operative issue is this: when am I near these things when I have daylight?

Why do you need daylight? Use a tripod.

I thought this film wasn't very "night friendly". If I can use it at night, I can easily finish it tonight!

28/36. Will go out for a walk around the office in about an hour to or so when my hand warms back up from holding the cold camera.

Just remember that Fed Ex is closed Mon and Tues next week for those playing the very last minute game so best to get it out today. Only option otherwise is overnight but if it gets held in customs,...

Finished the roll at 8:45 this morning.

That's exactly where I took it today for priority shipping. It'll be at Dwayne's on Dec 30 at 10:30am.

If anyone has Kodachrome left, today is the absolute drop dead date.

Needless to say, 40+ bucks to ship 2 rolls of film is a lot, but I'm doing this on principle.

well theoretically one could send it overnight on Wednesday but that's shaving it mighty fine...and I'm not one to hope that they'll cut some slack. got the cd option as well but hear it's not bad but beats sitting in front of the scanner

From Dwayne's website:

Quote:
We are currently shipping out orders received: Dec 27th

Due to the incredible amount of film we received the last two weeks of Kodachrome processing, all orders in the lab are substantially delayed. We are working as rapidly as possible to return to our normal service schedule. Please be patient as we clear the enormous backlog of film. We will update this page every day with current information about what orders are being shipped out.

Maybe this will drive a message home ..... although somewhat doubtful. People still love to shoot film.
