Ken, If the paper was "pre-shrunk" for mutliple registration would it help?

I was just looking at Kenro Izu's Cyan over Palladium nudes series. I am astounded http://www.kenroizu.com/html/bl_t1.html

no, 'pre-shrunk' paper won't help with multiple register contact prints.. only way to do it is to mount it to a sheet of aluminum and use a pin register system

having said that, there is some debate over whether or not prints made using a digital negative will benefit from multiple hits.. unless of course the negative has an extremely wide latitude that can't be captured on a single negative...

Kenro Izu is one of my favourite Pt/pl printers/artists.. I was lucky enough to pick up a copy of Sacred Places and it's astounding to see the book in person, I can only image what the real life prints look like

if there is sufficient interest, a few people should split a box (40 sheets iirc)

Thanks Ken. The process is complicated and would require a vacuum type of equipment. Later on that then.

I've decided to go Cyanotype for starters. Mistakes will not be to hard to swallow expense wise. PT/PD will be the goal when I have everything right including the digital negs. Unless, Nadeau release by mistake the secrets to Fresson. Ha!!

enjoy... it's all a learning process for everyone and unlike digital files, the mistakes are keepers too!

I'm posting another Pt/Pl print workshop for either Feb. 20 or 27th.

I just read Arches Platine has a new batch coming out this February. The quality remains to be proven if it is the same so whatever remaining stock that's left at the stores will be worth its weight if you can stockpile it. It's just too rich for me atm.
