Details:

What: ROM Photo shoot
When: Friday December 17, 2010
Time: 7 PM
Where: Main Entrance
Bring: Camera!

Under visitor policies on the ROM website it says:

Photography with flash and video recording is permitted in most permanent galleries for personal use only, with hand-held equipment. The use of tripods, monopods, etc is not permitted. Photography is not permitted in special exhibitions.

So I believe flashes are allowed at least in some exhibits.

I went to ROM in October for the crystal exhibit. i was allowed to use flash everywhere. i didn't go to the warrior display as it cost more and no photography at all was allowed. incidentally, i went on a wednesday at 3 when it was free. it looks like that offer is on till dec 22.

I changed it to Friday Dec 17th at 7pm.. will that work better for everyone?? If that's still too early we can also meet at 8pm which is the latest admission time and the museum is open until 9:30pm. let me know!

Just an FYI the December/Holiday Social is located within a short walking distance of the ROM so if anyone is interested in attending both events, it shouldn't be an issue.

Sorry peeps, it's looking iffy for me at the moment. Not only do I have to help move an entire dept to another building on Friday evening but one of my best mates just went into palliative care today.
