very cool! I've honestly never seen a white deer - nor did I know they existed. I'd love to photograph them - they are stunning.

Amazing. I love where he talks about them trying to sneak around while standing out like a sore thumb.

I just found out about the white squirrels in Trinity Bellwoods Park. Has anyone managed to capture them?

You've never seen my white squirells have you? I have tons of pics of the white suirrels of Queen West ... they also inhabit the grounds of CAMH at Shaw Street.

There is a white squirrel in High Park now. Saw it the other day. I guess he migrated over.

I've heard reports that there are a couple of white deer up in Killarney. I haven't seen them, but they were spotted during the summer.

The variety above I captured in Exeter has some brown in summer turning to pure white in winter having a more successful camouflaged and breeding community then the Toronto community; The Toronto squirrels are white all year around but unfortunately they have very poor eyesight. The Toronto white squirrels are just black squirrels with a recessive gene. Albino squirrels and other animals are often mistaken for white; They are differentiated from white because their eyes look red; Eyes, hair and skin have no pigment.

If Allan gardens is any indication the Toronto squirrel population is doing well and very active this time of year so it might be a good time to go white squirrel hunting with a camera of course :)
