hello everyone!
am new to this group and new to the city too!

registered for tomorrow but how will I know its the TPMG group? is there a specific meeting area?
also, is the spadina street car station nearer to Casa Loma or its better to get off at dupont subway?

Hi all,

ok, this is the last update before tomorrow. I am sorry to announce, I had to can the arranged group rate. They wouldn't allow us to pay individually under the group rate arrangement - so they expected a lump sum payment from me. I don't want to go down that road, just in case a number of you don't show up - as this has happened in the past. Additionally, I didn't want the headache of having to calculate and collect money.

So we will all have to pay the full price, or if you have found one of the many discount coupons available out there, then you can pay less that way. Otherwise, the price is $20.55 per person. Its not too bad considering the zoo is around the same. Casa Loma is a great place for architectural and HDR work.

I am looking forward to tomorrow. See you all at 10am at the front entrance. And yes - TRIPODS ARE OK!

Dupont station is much much much closer. Just head to the end of Spadina and walk up the staircase to the castle

I wonder if money collecting would be easier for organizers if people used Interac email transfers when entrance fees or such are involved. This is presuming people do online banking, Paypal would work as well no ? This way there's protection for the organizers.

The discount was only really a savings of $4 per person - Janet has posted a link at the beggining which if you print out, will save you 20% on the admission, which is nearly the $4 savings that we would have received - so if you print out the coupon, you will pay roughly the same price. Thanks David, Susan and I really enjoyed the day, and especially hanging out with you guys latter at the Pour House.
We talked a bit about HDR, and asked you if you have used the HDR in CS5. Well I am as far as you can get from any kind of expertise with HDR using any platform, this is my first shot at using HDR merge in CS5. I could become addicted.

Me too. The link was valid as long as the current explorer window was open last night, or so I am assuming. Looks like dpreview.com were the photo was posted has made some changes, because I have posted from there before. I will put it up on flickr.

Thank you. My wife put the shot on her computer as her screen saver. The closest she will ever get to something approaching the Lady of Casa Loma's suit out of my finances.
