Hi Everyone,
This is an odd for me, Let me start by saying I'm not the best Photoshop person around (as seen in one of my few posts in the critique thread). For Halloween, my 5 year son dressed up as the 11th Doctor from Doctor Who. In the following picture I tried to paste in a picture of the Doctor's TARDIS and although he likes it, I'm hoping someone can help me do a better job of getting of combining the two images together. I started off with a low res web version from the intraweb and masked it out as best as I could and then pasted it in.

Any way to make it look more natural?

Me neither but if your using CS4 trying tinkering with Blend options in layers.

It seems what you need to bump is the opacity of Tardis and block off the background.

I'm a fan of the Doctor btw. lol

that was my costume idea too, until i ran out of time to construct my TARDIS. Were you trying to make it transparent as in mid-vanish? If so, the light on top needs to be lit, although the TARDIS wouldn't be going anywhere without the Doctor.

I'd move it back so it's not so prominent and just partially visible. It will help make the blend less obvious as well since it's not the focus of the shot. Just adjust the tone of it after to match the rest of the pic too.

when you cut out the tardis in your select "feather" your edges so that the edges blend in. If you have hard lines your eyes will reject it as not part of the scene.

LOL. I went as the 10th Doctor (well, based on what I had at home to wear, couldn't find a skinny tie though) with the blue sonic screwdriver and Owen went as the 11th (his favorite) with the red bow tie (couldn't find a red fez) and the green sonic screwdriver. Both screwdrivers were purchased on the BBC Canada shop.
