I have family in town that weekend but I'm sure they will want to come along. Us small town folk love this kind of big city craziness...

According to the Photographer's Ephemeris the sun will set directly along Queen St. on this day. And King. And pretty much any street that runs parallel to either of those in Toronto.

I would love to go this year but not sure I can get away. Haven't been to a zombie walk since 2006 but had a blast.

Since I will be stuck at work starting at 3pm I'll miss it :( ...unless someone can tell me where along the route the majority of people are around 4pm. I have a 1 hour break...yes one hour after I start work, silly I know... So I could potentially go from College and University to whereever ...click click click...then rush back to work ><... So if anyone attending wants to act as a spotter for me send me a PM :)

Thanks

they tend to start later than scheduled, with the mass of people and all

had fun time chasing them around twice last year, I think I can skip this time around. mind your shutter speeds, zombies move quicker than you would expect!

Damn =.= I just found out I have to work that day, any idea if it'll still be on around 4:30pm? Maybe they'll be around Christie Pits? I'll try to come and catch the end of the walk.

Are they moving really fast? no time for manual focus?

If you had watched any Zombie movies you would know most zombies have a slow shuffling walk.

I actually found auto focus difficult last year. It was a fairly dark and cloudy day and they are walking at human speed towards you so you wanted a high shutter speed and a wide open aperture. For a lot of shots I found that they had walked through the depth of focus between getting a focus lock and getting the shot off. I will have to play around with the different auto focus modes this year.

I had a great time! Neat event for sure. I got a great load of keepers too. Completely impressed with my camera. There were some zombies that were fantastic, here's one of my favs:

I hope others had a good time as well.

I was surprised how many zombies there were this year, though I had nightmares since I was editing my photos before bed.

I haven't registered for this event initially, but I managed to get there in time and catch few shots before rain started. Thanks Suzie for keeping me safe from all those monsters :)
