I'm planning to getting there early to explore the other parts of the island; so I will take the 3PM ferry to either Ward's Island or Hanlan's Point and then walk toward the Centre Island Beaches for sunset. We can meet at 2:50PM at the ferry if you want to join me for this.

Alice, is external flash really necessary? I've never done this, interested, and don't have external flash yet. :)

Not everyone will have to have every item!

For instance, while you are holding your shutter open someone else can fire their flash manually by pressing the test button a few times while holding the flash in their hand...that's how I got the shot at this link:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0803/Mikefellh/My_Creative_Variety/stapling.jpg

That's the fun of painting with light with a group.

Unfortunately I won't be able to come as I have a lot of work to do this weekend (so what am I doing here).

Mike is right, you don't have to have every items, one person has the external flash is good enough. We can still do light painting without the external flash.

Mike, hope you can join us next time.

Do you think we can still do the iPad one?

The IPad one is pretty complicated. I don't have the right apps for that & I'm not planning on purchasing them because my space is limited.

Actually, glow sticks aren't recommended because they don't put out as much light as LED light sources.

It doesn't look like this is going to happen, so I'm not going to head down.

The weather forcast finally looks good at this point, so this event is still going. I've changed the meeting time and location in the original post.

We are meeting at the ferry @ 6PM; we will take the 6:15PM ferry to Centre Island and will do Sunset and Light Painting at the Olympic Island.

Great shots Alice! Your new tripod is paying dividends already! You're still leaning to the right a touch though. :P

@ Alice: You just copied my shots from last visit there? They're all identical... doesn't look like a simple coincidence to me. Missed one though (maybe no wide angle).
