Sorry guys,

I know Eddie was working and all, but I think yesterday was the day. Got a lot of nice shots.....100-400 is now officially christened the airshow lens :-). 3000 frames to go through.....hehehehe......

BTW. The airshow was overall boring. The last part with the snowbirds was very cool, but the rest of it was just blah....F16 was nice, but I don't think they are allowed to make too much noise or anything this year. It was relatively quite, compared to last year. Last year was awesome :-).

Pics soon.....

Yeah, last year was awesome with the return of the Blue Angels. Today I just slept in.

With lighting conditions changing every 5 seconds and improper lens available (70-200mm f/4) that's the kind of shots you can expect, unless you're really lucky.
I wasn't :(

Last year's was probably one of the better ones that I can remember. Next year, I'm thinking St. Thomas air show, was going to go this year except they skipped this year.

thanks everyone for coming. loved the formation of the seagulls and the nice performance by Canada geese :)
I may call it quits with the Toronto air show if they have a similar line up next year. too much dead time between performances.

Eddie

Mike picked it up a notch I think for his second show.

And I think he thoroughly enjoyed buzzing the police boat.

Friend was near the loudspeakers, Mike would go up in a vertical stall and say "I'm a kite!" over the radio LOL.

Those who were a bit disappointed by the lineup this year, I'd suggest emailing the organizers about this:

http://www.cias.org/component/option,co ... /Itemid,3/

It seems that they caved in to appease people in the city about the excessive noise.

This is a great shot. I wish I went eventhough it rained a bit, I could always carry an umbrella and shoot with one hand

i wasn't too happy with my show shots from Monday (I got stuck on the HMCS Fredericton on Sunday - the best shooting day of the weekend - not that it wasn't terrific fun but too far away for shooting the show!) but I got a pile of terrific media day shots from Billy Bishop and Pearson on Thursday and Friday. It's a real shame we don't get a static display in Toronto any more.
