It IS accessible via TTC:

"The Malton 58 bus westbound, from Lawrence West subway station stops right in front of the Toronto Congress Centre, a stop past Martin Grove. To reach the Park Plaza Hotel, go one stop further west and get off at Skyway. Head north on Skyway then east on Carlson Court."

(from http://www.animenorth.com/an05/Main/location.html also has GO and driving directions there)

I found the link with a Google search on TORONTO CONGRESS CENTRE TTC, and I wanted to link to the referring website as I've never stopped there and I couldn't remember if extra fare was required or not, so I wanted a third party that could be blamed if the info was wrong...what's the "best part" of it?

Just kidding.
People who organize animeNORTH (which is done by fans for fans) seems to really care about their visitors and provide detailed explanation how to get to the events.

There are also directions available at the TCC site itself:

Does anyone know if any Domke items will be available? Also are there typically any type of discounts on items here (notably, Domke)?

If you're expecting it to be gear heaven, then yes it'll be a bit boring and disappointing. I was there today, very small scale event, not too much to see, Canon didn't even have anything except for a video showing all their stuff but nothing to try out =.=''

If you're just starting out, you might find the lectures/talks interesting, basic stuff that most photographers would know but nothing new. I did attend a talk on 3D imaging, thought it was interesting and I did learn a couple of new things about 3D photography :D

I did however finally get to see/try Fujifilm's new 3D camera. The still prints were a bit gimmicky for my taste but the 3D video capture was pretty awesome :D

There is no one best spot. You'll have to walk around with camera ready. I saw Bill Murray last night before hitting my events.

I'll be there again tonight walking around before my night starts. Look for me, I'm the asian guy with a camera!

I looked for an asian guy with a camera but couldn't tell out of the hundreds of asian guys with camera which one was you.
