What: Halton County Radial Railway Ice Cream and Starlight
When: Sat. Aug 14, 2010
Time: 6:45 pm
Where: 13629 Guelph Line in Milton, Ontario
Bring: Camera, tripod, flash, bug spray,

The Halton County Radial Railway is having an evening event.
You can ride and photograph old and antique street cars and some old street car stops.
There are also old bus's to shoot and they serve ice cream at the main gate and at the cafe in an old TTC bus.

Admission is $8.00 per person and includes all rides on the street car.
Coffee and ice cream is extra

We can meet in the parking lot at 6:45 pm.
Gates open at 7pm until 11pm.

I really wish I could join you guys, but alas I am shooting a wedding up in Midland this day.

It's a great place for photos, and a lot of fun to go with TPMG, but I'll be away at that time. Have a great time!

Ohh this looks like fun. Might be a bit late...doing the Toronto City Chase that day as well..

I'm very interested.
Is there anyone going from Toronto/Scarborough area that day that can offer a seat in their car?
I'm up for sharing gas, parking, etc

Do we have a rain contingency? The weather charlatans aren't sure at this point but it's possible.

The event is a go rain or shine. Most of the rail cars are water proof and and there is also a large storage barn to shoot in and the ice cream is served inside. You can shoot quite a bit without getting too wet. Then of course we can hit Montanas or Kelsys afterwards

Are tripods ok?

Yes. Tripods are ok.

I might do a catch-up if our family outing ends early.... pass by that place once and it looks interesting....

I still have a few seats available to first come first served basis.

I am meeting a few people at York Mills Subway for 5:30pm -- meeting at the Esso parking lot on the South East corner of Yonge and York Mills. (I hear the parking lot at the subway is being used as a bus terminal temporarily).

Thanks to all that showed up tonight. It was a nice night for ice cream
As for the bugs.....well there were very few. Hope every one enjoyed them selves. It is a nice place to shoot. Will have to plan a day trip in the fall

Sorry I missed the fun last night, but I had a reunion with some old friends in Trenton. The streetcar museum is awesome, and speaking to Maureen this afternoon, I think we should go back later this year.

The consensus last night was to head back when the leaves have started to turn and bugs have left. Sounds good to me.
