I was pondering an interesting hypothetical a few weeks ago.

While walking on my lunch break I was daydreaming. What is the best way to capture a pivotal moment in your existance. By chance it happens right in front of you (best seat in the house). Whether it be a first contact with extraterrestrials or some other impossibly rare event (ball lightening, plane crash, flying pigs etc). Its going to unfold fast and it will only happen once. The time frame would probably be a minute at most before everyone else runs out and starts documenting the event too. So you would have to think fast if you wanted to capture the rare

too bad there is no option for "open your eyes wider", any of the options included in the poll will interfere with your perception of the moment, most likely completely losing the main focus attention in the happening.

That reminds me of a recent ballet shoot. The action was so amazing that for a little while I had enough gumption to put down the camera and just enjoy the show. But on the flipside you know what they say "A memory is fleeting, a photograph is forever. " :)

But I find lately with family outstandings I really enjoy taking video along with stills, especially with hd video. When I play them back I find a video brings me back to the experience, more so than a photo.

that's what getting old is  I'd prefer still to video, don't feel as interested in video as I am in photo

Indeed. They are tasty like grounded pigs and have the advantage of providing excellent but fatty wings!!

Oh man! Pig wings! They'd be like chicken wings with bacon! That's awesome!

What would you do?

I would pull out my Motorola cell cellphone that I've got for free with the cheapest plan from Fido and snap some pictures. Then use the camera mode and get some video as well. I'll post everything on youtube, Facebook, Flicr and about a hundred of other sites.
