I found this great resource on Classic Portraiture. It lays a good foundation for position/posing subjects and general portraiture techniques. Even though the site may seem dated the content is still very relevant and applicable to current day portraiture.

I remember reading that eons ago (trust me, eons).

That said.. just look how LUSH the hair is on some of those girls and guys... *weeps in longing for luscious locks*
