so i remember reading that you can make positives when developing B&W film, all it took was a few more steps. read it in an old film magazine.

So i was wondering weather you can do that when developing paper.

Also what are the extra steps.

And why? i dont want to make an intermediary negative when taking pictures with a pinhole camera. i want them to come out as prints right away.

You mean like this:

I did that when I was 11 so I can't remember the steps, but it has doable. I assume the two prints were put together face to face, and the enlarger light was shone through it...but don't ask me for how long.

Google contact prints from paper negatives, there is a ton of info out there to do it both via wet or dry methods. A good forum to explore on this matter is apug.org

Ok, im having trouble expressing what i am trying to achieve, i will say what i am doing in hopes it will help.

I have a 4x5 and I made a pinhole plate for it. i am cutting down RC paper to stick in the neg holders. so what i was hoping for is to take those paper negatives and develop them in a way that would make them positive, without having to do a contact print.

so something like a few extra steps of chemicals between the developer & the fix (i do believe there would be a step having to expose it to light too)

Dose this seem a little more clear?
