Toronto Photography Meetup Group

Hi everyone. My mom is coming to visit me from June 13 to June 19. She is into photography and I will be taking her around the GTA and beyond to get some pictures. She is a member of a photography club in BC and her photo categories for her upcoming competition are:

-reflections of people
-wrecks
-love
-masks
-geographical formations

I would greatly appreciate some advice on places to go where she could get some shots of the above categories.

Also I have 2 Watermaster inflatable boats that I thought we could use to get some nature shots either in a river or lake. Are there any interesting places with limited road access where we could utilize these boats to get some unique pictures?

-reflections of people: anywhere where there is water! pick a rainy day, and go out shooting!
-wrecks: the big ship in Lake Ontario down near St. Catherine's comes to mind immediately
-geographical formations: NIAGARA ESCARPMENT! Go to Hamilton, or anywhere along the escarpment -- Rattlesnake point, etc.....

-Dragon boat races near TO Islands
-Harbourfront events, the TO Music Garden & Ireland Park
-Roncesvalles Village fest next weekend

Maybe you might want to introduce her to something new. TO/the GTA has a lot to offer regarding photo opportunities. Have a great time!
