The nearly-full moon wil rise tonight at 7:54 p.m., in the southeast, about 45 min before sunset. (Good chance to shoot the rising moon with the foreground/horizon still illuminated by the setting sun.)

If you're down at Harbourfront, I might see you --- there's a "Spacing" party at York Quay (The Power Plant), and I intend to pop out to gawk at the rising moon at the appropriate moment.

Cheers!

I gave this a shot over Burlington Bay but it was too hazy. By the time the moon appeared it was well up over the horizon. Any better luck in the city?

I was somewhere on the I-90 westbound between Rochester and Buffalo around that time and it was absolutely clear skies. No camera though.

No -- I saw same as you. (I still took a few shots, but, yeah, I couldn't even *see* the darn thing for ~15 min after moonrise, when it was ~5 degrees up.)

Spacing is a Toronto magazine about the city's urban spaces and such. I think the website is spacing.ca.
