Nice! I love the colours in the water, and you seem to really like the Bruce cliffs.

Wow, there are some super images here! My question is, what programs are people using the most for their HDR images? For example, is Photomatrix preferred?

Thanks in advance.

Photomatix is usually preferred due to fully automated solution for blending exposures and its massive arrange of tweaking controls as well as ability to use presets. Some people use Photoshop, manually adjusting curves etc, which I think is a pain and strongly advise looking into photomatix if you're serious about HDR. Although most HDR it generates go through additional tweaking in Lightroom or Photoshop

I use Dynamic-Photo HDR. I think it is pretty much do the same thing as Photomatrix but I find that it gives me more control. But then I am no expert.

Thanks for your responses and I guess it is a personal preference. I am just new to this and I have only tried a few and I have tried the free dowload of photomatrix but I have heard that there is more control in the purchase copy.

Not usually your typical use for HDR

I think the trick to HDR is achieving a perfectly exposed image without it looking like HDR.

I took the HDR workshop at Pikto and this was one image from that class. A sink in an alcove that was dimly lit. I like HDR and the process itself. We used Photomatix Pro to merge the images and make the necessary adjustments. Simple and effective.
