Does anyone here have experience with using polarizers in sunrise and sunset conditions? Do they have a real world benefit in this scenario? I'm shooting part of a swimsuit catalogue tonight (at a beach) and am wondering if this is going to help make my photos better (really want to impress the client). Thanks in advance!

Too much loss of light at that time of day for me to warrant using a polarizer. They would act more like an ND filter at that time of the day anyway.

If you can stand the 2 stop lose of light then it can still be useful to cut glare off the water. when the shot is 90 degrees from the sun you get the maximum affect on the sky. I find the colour temperature (WB) can get a bit blue but this is easy to correct in post.

with a wide angle you can get a similar affect to vignetting (you can actually get vignetting if the filter is too thick) this shot has a bit of both:

Shooting into the sun will create a very milky looking image if you have a polarizer on
