Soundtrack yeah, had to grab that after hearing it. Sequence shots do nothing for me personally even considering the technical achievement. Interesting nonetheless.

Cool! Nice find Tanner.

I kinda agree that from a technical point it is pretty damn awesome. The final result from the sequence of shots is alrighty.

The soundtrack... if anybody else is curious, it's What Else Is There? from the album The Understanding by R

Cool, I was trying to find out what the soundtrack was but I have ADD and forgot about it after the video.

very cool.. but I recall seeing Chase Jarvis do this exact same thing
at 1/250 at 8fps with the same results

http://blog.chasejarvis.com/blog/2009/1 ... sequences/

impressive nonetheless 8)

that has to be one huge power pack to have the strobes go off that many times at the same power. Is the point of the 1/500th just so they can get the background darker.

It is much easier if you stay at or below the flash sync speed of the camera (as in Chase Jarvis' case). Chris O'Connell was using 1/500s shutter, so unless he was shooting with the original Canon 1D, he had to have fiddled with something to get the Broncolor strobes to work at such a high shutter speed. Unfortunately, he does not say anything about sync speed in the video...
