Stunning pictures. I just came back from Japan and got to see the blossoms there. It was certainly a big celebration. Just a few quick snap from my camera phone and S90 (haven't processed my DSLR images yet).

Wow, those in Japan are so much fuller and thicker than those at High Park! Did they send us their second grade trees?

some trees on the south end (not in the big group at the hill) looked to me like they were not yet in full bloom.

Tonnes of people though. Nice to see people enjoying the trees, but I'm too antisocial for that, I much more enjoyed the smaller groups of trees (south of the big maple leaf) where there were almost no people.

If I'm coming by the Lakeshore GO train Mimico appears to be the best stop, can I get to High Park station easily from there?

^^^I agree^^^^
Your photo isn't just of the blossoms. It's a photo of a huge story involving blossoms. Congrats.

I was there today. They're in great shape but possibly starting to wilt as evidenced by some of the brown in these:

Had an engagement shoot last Saturday morning. It was great as there wasn't a lot of peoople there.

I will be there again this Sat and this Sunday for 2 more engagement shoots! Everyone seems to like these cherry blossoms!

And there's more to High Park than those cherry blossoms!

Similar to my previous one.

<a href="http://bighugelabs.com/onblack.php?id=4542620444&amp;size=large" rel="nofollow">View On Black</a>

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/riellanart/4542620444/" title="Hanami 2 by RielLanart, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4043/4542620444_4291b1bf07_b.jpg" width="1024" height="683" alt="Hanami 2"></a>

I went again today, and there was just as many people. The blossoms were fluttering, but lacking a model, couldn't really get the petals in the pictures when people were in the right positions. However, I did get an awesome one today that I'll post tomorrow. I believe it is one of the best I've taken all year.
