I just got a 300s, but found out that my version of Photoshop CS4 will not read the raw files produced by the camera. I have downloaded the most recent upgrade, but I am still having problems. Does anyone have an idea what's up? Do I have to go to CS5 to be able to use the raw format with the new camera? What's the point of having raw capability on the camera if I cannot process it? Grrrrr.

hmmm.... if you have the latest update for ACR. it should work.

Pretty sure the latest ACR supports the D300s. Cause they released a new one after the 7D came out to support it and the D300s was released a month before that!

I went back, reloaded, swore at things a few times, and lo and behold it now works! Once you start shooting in raw you do not want to go back!

Yeah the ACR is a little buggy with D300 files. Cursing solved all of my problems as it helps gloss over the user-related issues that most often crop up. :oops:
