See, this is why you are better photographer than I! Very good framing and subject isolation here ;)

Thanks for coming out guys, had a great time. We should push Sabesh and Dimitri's pictures side by side in the critique section. Personally I think Dimitri's is better because she seems into it more in his picture, she's really getting in there.

Good shot! I'm kicking myself for not taking a picture of the tree carving :(

I am thinking of going back tonight and trying this shot again, I didn't have my shutter release and it was underexposed plus people blur doesn't appeal to me much, damn stoners

Nice shots everyone. Man are you guys fast!
Mine will be a few more days.

I left you people to go take a shot of the lone cherry tree and found a cute blond child flying a kite. When I came back I stuck to the cherry tree lane until sundown. Ran into Mike and his wife and child. Easy to get lost with all those people.

Sabesh, I think that is another one, facing south. The one in Dimitri's image is facing northwest and is cracked. I looked for the newer one that I took a picture of last year, but didn't see it.

Thanks! I'll look for the other one I'm in the area.

The crowds in the Sakura forest were killer. I managed to keep most people out. I'll work up my graffiti stuff tomorrow here: http://www.pbase.com/reimar/high_park

And here are three graffiti images.

For the first one I really wanted to clean that windshield, but couldn't think how. So the rain spots add even more grittiness.

I loved this Troll under the bridge look:

Nice shot PE, I was there Sun morning around 6am to get similar shot, but there were already 5 - 6 shutterbugs and as time went it got more crowded, so I gave up :)

Reimar I like your shots with the warmer tones on cherry blossoms. Do you have any close-ups?

Few of my shots

Not Cheery Blossoms, but I liked the back light on this one

Thanks Ramesh. I love your pink cherry blossom close-up.

Most of my shots were taken minutes before sundown, so the light was quite warm. No close-ups in the howling wind this time out. I did close-ups last year in the very early morning calm. I was going for the "forest of white" feeling you get there. Those shots are on my pbase gallery.
