The current forecast calls for them to open this weekend - I would aim for Sunday - better of the two days this weekend.

Cheers,
Dave

The cherry blossom is blooming! I suggest you go today to avoid the crowd and the rain which is foretasted for the weekend.

I was just there this afternoon. The best area (most in bloom, highest density of both trees and people) was the path which leads southward from Grenadier Restaurant towards the pond.

When I got there at 10 this morning, there were only one photoshoot session going. Smart guy, no crowd, they had the whole place to themselves. There were a few photogs there at that time and by 11, it started to get busy.

Went there after work today, just way too many people. I can't imagine what it will be like tomorrow.

Today seemed like an ad-hoc TPMG meet; I saw six other people there today. I guess everyone had the same idea that tomorrow was going to be wet and cold...

Nice catching up with you all!

And the crowds! So hard to take a picture without some clueless person strolling into the frame.

Here's my picture:

According to the Jp Consulate website, there are 224 cherry trees in Centennial Park. (5 times more trees than in High Park)

Please provide update if you know the status over there.

Thanks
