I haven't been keeping track of the rumors mill but I think the 1DS MKIV should be just around the corner. I have been very satisfied with the 5D2 but if Canon comes up with a revolutionary new camera, I wouldn't mind upgrading. Anyone keeping an eye out for it also?

Sounds like you want a better AF system than the 5D2.
Try the D700 and join the dark side like Sabesh :) haha

Edit: Hmm i think he has both systems.

Nikon is an amazing system, but not for me @ this time :) The Canon lens lineup is just too perfect for me (yep, I was shooting both systems for over a year).

In my experience of owning both systems at the same time with top-end glass, I would not recommend switching from one system to another. There really isn't THAT much of a difference in that you will get better pics with the other system even if you are Pro. Regards.

The AF on the 5D2 is adequate but I can surely use something better. Even my EOS 1V has better AF that the 5D2 :D I am ready to upgrade when the 1DS4 is released. :D

@eric: didn't you just get the 5D mark i?

And now you're waiting to upgrade to the 1ds4?

Did you just win the lottery?

With a price tag that's going to be near $9K for the 1DsMKIV, that Pentax 645D MF looks mighty nice.

Really? Good to see the price dropping on the 1Ds series! They've always been in the $8500-$9000. price range as far as I can recall.

It's only going to be $500 more than 1D4, beautiful! http://www.vistek.ca/store/DigitalSLRs/ ... -body.aspx

I wonder where you heard about this?
