Booked seating has changed to first come first served as we are ordering off the menu.

We should be able to grab spots inside as they become available. Lots of Picnic Table outside as well. 12:30 can still be our meeting time, but we can play it by ear as the day goes on.

Just a reminder to all -- Sunday's temperature is calling for a high of 6 degrees celcius -- so dress a little more warmly then you would today!

Some of us actually have MAP books -- as archaic as it sounds..... :)

PotatoEYE: I'm around the Main Street subway station if you need a ride. Let me know and we can work out the details.

Thanks Maureen for organizing! I had a great time, and you can't say "no" to maple syrup :D

Some sample pics. No wide angle shots, I was mostly testing my new 70-200mm f2.8 IS II

Spencer, looks like the dudes at Canon found some way of making their lenses have that 3d look of Zeis lenses, I noticed it on my macro, now the first picture in your series also shows it well :D

Today's event was a lot of fun, but I think moreso for the unofficial aftermath ad hoc: myself, Maureen, yesh, Sebastian and Janet ventured west and also hit Nashville, the cheltenham badlands, and the cheltenham brickworks.

The badlands were surprisingly unbusy, and a great time for the 3 boys in the group to lose our respective badlands virginities.

As I write this, we are having some dinner at shoeless joe's in Bolton.

Thanks everyone for coming out. Great turnout, lots of fun and the maple syrup was very yummy.

The mill wa also nice to see too.

The extra stops afterwards were good too.

Nice to see lots of new faces, as well as the regulars.

giddyup or not, the wagon almost lost control! the horses got tripped up on their harness, all of a sudden we rocketed from 5km to 50km. luckily they settled down and nothing happened!

I think you're right! Or maybe that's just the bokeh and long focal length at work :). I'd say all their recent lenses from 2009 onwards have been spectacular. New coatings or something. Thumbs up!

Thanks for the compliment Carlton! :D

And thanks for posting your pics Edwin. I was curious how the "L crew" turned out; great pic :P. Canon should use this photo for marketing purposes.. LOL

Although I didn't attend with you guys, I was there a few days earlier with the Fam (on Wednesday, when the place was mobbed).

Awesome shots of the Mill lx.

It took me forever to get these posted, but here are a few of the highlights. I enjoyed the festival, thank you for organizing.

I've tried many times to pull the images from Flickr. With an overwhelming sense of frustration, I shall move on to my next task of the day and post only the url if you'd like to see the photos.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/chelsea_photostream/sets/72157623595619673/

Thanks again for organizing, I had a great time. Any comments on how I can pull the images from Flickr would be helpful.

Chelsea, do this:

Within Flickr, click on the photo you want to post. Click on "All Sizes" above the pic, select the size you want to use ("medium" usually does the trick). Underneath the pic, there will be 2 types of links.. copy Link 1 (the one with HTML code), and simply paste all that code into your TPMG post.. no need to use the [Img] tags. Done!

Your pics will become hyperlinks to your Flickr, and people can view your picture properties (EXIF) if you allow it.

Good luck!
