It doesn't look like I'll be able to make it. We got asked today about working Saturday - it won't be confirmed one way or the other until Friday, so I'll post when I know for sure.

If rain is in the forecast Friday the trip will be canceled since conditions will not be safe at some falls

By when will you make your decision ???

I was there last Saturday and every thing was slippery due to ice,
but some places were also muddy then.

I don't mind light rain. If it may be very slippery--could we stick to Falls without steep hills to climb down/up ex Sherman Falls. Rain means overcast which would be better than bright sun. With the warm weather the water should be flowing strong.

You guys, be careful out there. I was at Hilton Falls last weekend and all is still frozen. It's been quite warm lately, but I bet, you'll find many of the falls still with lots of ice. And if it rains into it, it's going to be a very slippery surface.

Well, it's Thursday and it's a no-go for me :( It's too bad since I really want to finish off the roll in my camera.

Take care out there. And if anyone finds my glasses down Spencer Gorge... wow it's been fourteen years :O

Oh well looks like I need to cancel. Some family stuff just came up. Hopefully their will be many more waterfall trips, as I really want to get more photos!

Just a quick note.

Unfortunately I've been faced with a family emergency tonight that will likely boil over into the morning. That means I'll likely not be attending this event. I've sent PMs to both Susan and Tyler explaining the circumstances in detail as they were both depending on me for a ride.

Apologies to all.

If this doesn't boil over I'll be in contact with Susan and Tyler to let them know, I'll also put a quick note here.

It turns out that I'm not working tomorrow after all, so I can do the waterfalls. That means I can pick up Susan and Tyler since it doesn't look like Vince will be able to attend. I have Susan's phone number, but I'll need to find out when/where Vince planned to pick up Tyler.

Phew, thanks Janet!

We were supposed to meet collectively at Port Credit Go Station at 9:10am. This is when Tyler's train arrives.

It is pouring rain out here. If it keep it up tomorrow as it is forcast, then you better be shooting with a 1D or something that is very waterproof. I was out that way today and the ground is a total mud bath. As the ground is still pretty frozen deeper down the water has nowhere to go.

I am not sure if I will go if it's raining as hard as it is now.

Hamilton Forecast. I was up on the escarpment in Burlington briefly today and it is soaked in the trails. Moody though...

That said the water is probably moving pretty well.

I'm more worried about the wind. The weather channel says it is picking up considerably. It could make it hard to keep the tripod still for slow shutter speeds. However, I just got up(3am) and checked outside my balcony and it has stopped raining--for now. If it becomes too muddy or deep, maybe there is an alternative to shoot? Waves crashing up on shore? Flooded rivers?

The rain has started again and it must be windy because there are some big waves crashing onto the rocks here in Port Credit by the harbour.

It is definitely windy now. Pretty stiff, steady wind and hard gusts. No rain at the moment, but it was when I was out running. It comes and goes.

Hope you all have a safe day of photography.

DG
