Just wondering who would be interested in doing some photoshop and/or lightroom tutorials?

Looking for someone to host and someone to lead the tutorials.

Not a very artistic person but a bit technical. I can offer assistance to the person who would host or mentor that is if this will push through.

I have studio space to host the tutorial (Liberty Village). We could do it as a complete workflow from capture to post process.

Awesome, I am kinda interested, I have my workflow cut out in LR, mostly on the processing side, but I don't have a suitable laptop to show it on. If you provide one, I'd be glad to show my tricks :D Check the website or flickr to see what I mean

My laptop isn't the fastest thing in the world, but I have CS3, LR & Elements on it. I'd be more than happy to lend it to you to get some tips... I love your PP and work.

I just got Lightroom. I have not even had a chance to use it yet but would love to see what others do with it

I could try installing it on my work laptop to have another computer for people to use.

Done, I've got a 17" macbook pro with LR and CS3 photoshop.

Seems like there is a bit of interest. Keep posting up.

Depends on the host(s) and the presenter. I just started this to gauge interest to see who wants to come.

Lots of interest but we have no one to host. I sent a msg to see when PotatoEye is available but no response. Anyone else out there able to take the lead?

If a regular host can be organized this sounds good. But either way i see this as being a great regular feature for this website. That way many people can write tutorials and you can build an archive of them all. A TPMG learning resource! Just an idea...

If it's in Liberty Village I could probably do the Lr tutorial. My schedule is kind of all over the place right now but I'm sure something could be accomodated.

I could cover the process from capture to submission for delivery to magazine etc. Even show some examples of how images are then again changed during publication.

I am down for this as a participant depending on timing, etc...

JR, since you have the studio, perhaps you could throw out some times and the costs you are looking to recoup for the session.

Definitely interested in this type of tutorial. Since I got my 40D I've been shooting in RAW and find that if I don't get to my photos right away and process them, it takes forever and I would love tips on workflow and how to streamline the process.

well, I can offer two projectors as well, that I can borrow from work.

If we have a place to meet up, then I can bring them.

I can possibly ask my office if they would mind hosting a room for an evening.

Justin - that would be very cool - is your office centrally located?

Looks like I can't do it here, but I'm going to look into my church at Bloor and Jarvis / Church... I'll see how much the donation should be if there is one needed

So I've found out that renting a space that will seat 12-40 people will be $50/hr and a space that will seat 8-12 people will be $25/hr.

The last time we had this session, we only had 10 people show if I remember correctly.

If we get 10 people showing and a $10 fee, should easily cover 2hrs for the large room.

Thoughts?
