Doh, I wish I could make this shoot! I have a year pass, and often will go to the zoo at lunchtimes to take shots. Anyone else ever free for lunch walks?

Lol, same. I'm only a 15 minute drive, and my schedule si somewhat flexible... so every now and then I'll go to blow off steam. :) When I go on weekends, my kids come too, so taking pics is a lot harder.

it's actually better to go on the weekdays when there's hardly any people around and you can do whatever you want...like crawling on the ground or climbing over the fence where no one's looking :P

I also find the animals are out more, and you can get in closer at feeding times. Let me know, so long as I have 1-2 days notice, I'm always game for a weekday trip.

For those who don't have a pass, if you have a Metro TTC Pass, you and 4 guest can get 15% off general admission.

For those of you taking TTC:

The bus from Kennedy station to the zoo (route 86A) doesn't operate in weekends during winter. You need to take 85A or 85B from Don Mills station.

http://www.torontozoo.com/AboutTheZoo/D ... ns.TTC.asp

I almost left without knowing this.

Thank you all for being tolerant. Being late for 15 mins is a big deal in Japan. Railroad companies there issue "late certificates" for delay of 10 minutes or more.

Here are some pic from today. The first one is the outcome of today's panning practice.

Thanks for organizing Sue. Was good too see you again and meet Sushant, Pebbz and Asyncmp. I'll post a few soon. I'm undecided on how to PP some shots.
