It looks like a very interesting tool for photographing landscapes and I wanted to try it out. I downloaded the software (free) but it ran into an error when it tried to load the google map. The error is

It turns out that I left a proxy setting on in IE which caused the google map server un-reachable. It worked after I removed the proxy setting,

What a great tool! simple and easy to use. Highly recommended.

It is not often that you can find a tool that is truly useful but this is one great tool and it is Free!

I have been playing with this tool for hours and it is actually fun to play around with it.
For our trip to Hong Kong this Christmas, I found out where the sun will be setting as related to out hotel (we have a harbour view room booked and the hotel has a roof top pool and garden.) I determined the actual time the sun will fall behind the mountain which is earlier than the sun set time.

I used it to find a date and time that I can take a shot of the moon hanging over the CN tower from the Polson park.

I used it to try to find a date when the moon will hang over the Dunlop Observatory in Richmond Hill.

The tool is very easy to use and the author even have tuitorials in his blog to show you how to use it with examples. A must read if you plan on using this tool. http://stephentrainor.com/blog/?c=TPE

Definitely a great tool. Now I'll have to give second thoughts to when I book my next vacation or landscape shoot. :D
