My wife waited out the storm at work and slept there overnight. The next day she decided to walk home (about 10 to 20 kilometers). It took her two hours after wading through waist deep flood waters. Thankfully her area isn't flood-prone. Unfortunately, our wedding planner lost everything after flood waters reached the roof of their two storey house.

And to make matters worse, a category 5 typhoon is approaching the Philippines.

That's got to be scary stuff. Hope she's okay. That's some serious bad luck with another potential disaster right after.
