This guy at U of T has developed a program that can figure out where you took all those photos. (I wrote it up for the U of T Magazine.)

the example of the seascape off Santorini is speculation of the location or does it actually compare pics on Flickr looking for similar "landmarks"? After all, with jet travel I could take a pic in Athens and then be in Hawaii the next day.

this software seems heavily dependent on flickr which can be easily be manipulated by the public. Time to start mislabelling all my photos :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

cool concept.. but as riceburner puts it.. someone could be travelling fast and far.. and that would also stump it.
