Anyone use or have any experience with any of the Arctic Butterfly sensor brush line? Recently upgraded to a 5D and i'm really missing the auto sensor cleaing feature of my XSi.

I'm finding dust specks in my pics way more often and i'm looking for something i can use in between wet cleanings to get the dust off.

I got an arctic butterfly for my 5D as the big sensor definitely attracts more dust than a crop-size (had a 30D). it works pretty well - don't think it's as thorough as a wet system but for getting rid of the stuff that just seems to appear, it's good.

Haven't tried it but the dry cleaning from Dust-aid looks promising.

Based on my experience alone, if the camera has never ever had any sort of cleaning, I'd give this a shot.

I tried a friend's brush on my camera when I had a large spec on the sensor but it picked up the junk that the swab pushed off to the edge of the sensor from what I could tell and then smeared it across the sensor. So it made a further mess of my camera making it useless until I could get it cleaned properly and it also made his brush useless also.

But based on his experience using the brush, it works well.

I got one. It does work as advertised. It's the only product I use to clean my sensor.

Has anyone bought the angled brush for cleaning the mirror and viewfinder? Does it work?

Yikes! I won't EVER touch the mirror. For that, I'll send it out to be factory cleaned. Most mirrors you can just blow off with a blower. It's just too delicate and easily scratched and the repair for that is gonna cost more than getting the manufacturer to do the cleaning.

I have it and have no complaints. The D3's sensor is a dust magnet so I have to use it rather frequently.

I use it and it works great. The only thing to watch out for is never never touch anything else around the sensor. The moving parts has lubrication and if you touch them, lub gets on the brush and then you get a big mess.
