maxsaver sells umbrellas too? didn't know. Ordered Westcott collapsible from MPEX, I like the portability of it, will test this week-end

I got both a collapsible (2011) and non-collapsible (2016) at Cinequip White on Islington in the 35-45 range each.

I'm also interested in the RF-602 system. Since they also act as a shutter release I think it would also be worthwhile to note the camera these are to be used for.

I'm in for:
1. 3rx + 1tx (Canon 5D shutter release)

I'd be interested in the RF-602's (2rx, 1tx) for a Nikon (D80.) Let me know what the all-included price might be.

Thanks for that - somehow I thought I saw 99USD yesterday. Looks like a deal at 77USD, I might pick up a set.

got mine before this mass buy for the same price. I'm suspecting I'll end up in the same situation. :)

You could always buy a second set and have the extra trigger as a spare. These things are not the most sturdy things on the planet and if you break a trigger it could be weeks to get a new one.
When I bought my 301-p set I got two sets, (1-Tx, 1Rx) + (1-Tx, 2Rx). All I really needed was the second set but it is peace of mind to have spare in case they break and they do break. A hotshoe mount broke off of one of my receivers at the last shoot. These are not PW's so they do not have the durability not the higher price.

I am starting to give up on Yongnuo direct...

I think I may just go through DX
One more day for Yn, and then I think we'll just look into other options.
The ebay store looked promising as well.

Ebay is your best bet, especially if people are looking to use the triggers at the Oct 24 event. It typically takes about two weeks to get something from HK.

Nevermind. I already went the e-bay route.

so has anyone received theirs yet? i was reading a review and it kinda confused me about the shutter function. will the remote shutter work with the flash triggers at the same time?

http://scubajunkie-mymind.blogspot.com/

Quote:
One other thing that concerned me was the ability to use one Tx/Rx to trigger the shutter on one channel and then have a second trigger mounted on the camera to trigger one or more flashes. (No, you cannot use one trigger to trip the shutter and flashes at the same time - the flashes will fire first and the shutter will fire second because of the few milliseconds of shutter delay that every DSLR has.) When using my Cactus flash triggers in conjunction with a shutter trigger that operated on the same frequency (433 MHz), the devices interfered with each other, usually causing a delay in flash firing or complete misfire, even when the flash triggers and shutter triggers on different channels. I had no such problems with the RF-602 triggers, even with the camera and flash Tx a significant distance away and the shutter Tx right next to the flash/receiver. This is what made me look at the RF-602 in the first place.

I thought I saw somewhere that you would need 2 x Tx to do this.
Tx#1 on Channel 1 would trigger the shutter on the camera via Rx#1 attached to the camera PC Sync portwhich would trigger the hot shoe mounted Tx#2 (cahnnel 2) which would trigger the strobes on Tx#3/4/5/etc...

I have not bought a 602 set yet and am very interested in this functionality that you speak of. I have a set of 301's (2x Tx and 3x Rx) - if you wanted to get together and try this out in the 'lab' let me know.

Hey James, can you test if they will work as a remote shutter and flash trigger at the same time please?
