Wow, congrats.

How does one make explore? And how do you know if it made explore. I don't have any.

Being on Explore is overrated. It is a popularity contest and not about good photography imho. Post a pic using a specialized lens, a controversial subject, a cute dog/cat, etc. and chances are you will make it into Explore. I find very few images on Explore that I consider fine examples of photography.

That being said you can use this link and input a user to see some stats, including Explore.

Eric doesn't need his ego stroked by Explore .. looking at his photo stream he has plenty of girls to do that.

But seriously - my point is just to say that Eric doesn't need Explore to validate his competence as a photographer and I'm sure Eric already knows that.

It's just all for fun. Anyway, everyone can post or not post. I figured it was just another way to share each others photos.

FWIW, I read it as a disparaging comment about Explore, not Eric.

I've several thousand of shots posted on Flickr and only 12 made it to Explore. ONLY 12?
So then I have NO CHOICE but to agree with you
Hmmm, you may be right. Of my 12, 4 of them are puppy shots...including this snapshot of puppy porn.

Cool! Thank you for sharing. Please don't let negative people discourage you or rain on your parade. I've enjoyed some of the threads you've started.

Unfortunately, I don't have many Explore works to show...so I have to be jealous and tell you that it's not a big deal and anybody can easily have their works appear on Explore. It's so easy that most people purposely don't want their pics to appear on Explore.

i hope i get interesting enough shots to get such exposure

as of now, many of my photos sit at 0 views

Dez, you have 25 pictures in Explore and they are very good.
No one is trying to be negative here .. just trying to state an opinion on the quality of some photos making it into Explore. Please read the thread carefully before making such assumptions.

this may not be the best looking one, but i love this one the most out of my few pics on explore.

No question on Eric's ability to take photos... it's his ability to count

too funny... never even noticed that.

It's because Eric puts two images into one Flickr post so technically he is correct in saying two recent posts.
