Oooh... umbrellas and stands... hmm...

There are two different Rokkor f/1.2's. The earlier 58, and the 50. The 58 is the one that seems to be getting all the attention, including by yours truly.

Having been a previous garage sale, and seeing the size of his house, how does his wife put up with all the stuff?

I bought some from him a couple years back... same location. with tons of stuff!
then he'll start the scavenger hunt again. look for deals, etc etc... and then put them on a 'garage sale' so nobody would ask for receipt... non taxable ;)

Well, if you look at my galleries (http://www.pbase.com/gummiebear), you know I use most of the stuff I buy. Like everyone else, you keep the stuff you like, and sell the ones you don't like so much. We all have limited fund to buy stuff we want, and can't keep buying. At some time you need to get rid of them, either for money or space.

I have accumulated all this stuff for the last 25 years. That's why there are so much.

I enjoy this process: Buy stuff I am interested in, use them, and either keep them or sell them. You lose money most of the time, but not much, and some times you can even make a buck or two if you really got a good deal buying. In the process, you get to use what you might not otherwise have a chance to, and you know what's good, and not.

Once or twice a year, I will have a photography yard sale to get rid of some of the stuff I use less often. The wife has been patient, but I know there is a limit

I go the photo shows once or twice a year like veryone else :D. I live and work downtown and I bike to work so I have a lot of chances to stop by all the photo stores on the way home :D Does that explain why I have so much stuff?

Yep. Regretted selling the 58. This 50/1.2 is much harder to convert without machining. Wish I knew that first. I guess I will just stick to my EF 50/1.2.

Also, if you need a receipt, ask me for one. I have people come back to me to exchange/refund for stuff that they found not to their liking, days after the sale. So I don't know what you are hinting at. Anyone who knows me, well, they know what kind of person I am. Too bad you don't know me.

Bringing a friend who is visiting from Ottawa. He and I will drop in to say hello and take a look at your treasures. Weather should be great for a yard sale tomorrow.

GummieBear is a good guy, I remember last year's sale, I got a set of filters..and cookies. :P

Although I was planning to use those close-ups, its still in the drawer and never been touched. hahah

Its amazing to see there's so many people crowded at his stand at 10 am sunday morning. I went back twice for more filters....he's got TONS and I have no idea how he keeps all these toys.

I am hoping to drop by tomorrow to check out the lightning stuff, but I live way too far for the trip.

GummieBear is a great guy to deal with. I will deal with him anytime.
Especially if the 85L 1.2 II is on sale! ;)

I was in his house too handing a rare Pentax A*200mm macro (only at F4 yet selling rarely under $1500). And he does not even have a Pentax dslr

I think what he might be hinting at, are people that make significant money selling but don't report the income to CanRevCus.
Recently they won a ruling where Ebay has to give them info on powersellers.

See, I doubt anyone would make significant money out of buying and selling lenses like this. It's too unreliable an income source since you have a unreliable supply.

Anyways, GummieBear's a good guy. Bump for him.

I highly doubt anyone who has a couple of yard sales a year will make significant money, but if you know how it can be done, I would be very interested :D

Sold 3 of them. There were very cheap guitars that were given away at the Guitar Hero competition as prizes. All my kids won and we ended up with 4 of them. My kids love to play Guitar Hero, but they do not like to play real guitars.
